EMERGENCY RESPONDERS are being thanked this summer by Young’s Auto Body, with the company providing a cooling-off area on Fridays during the hot summer months. The first event was held last week. Randy Watson and Firefighter Brian Stearns; and Young’s Auto Body GM Wade Bettis.
For the second year in a row, a Cleveland business is showing its appreciation to emergency first responders by offering a “cooling down” place during the summer months.
Young’s Auto Body, located at 2000 South Lee Highway, is hosting all first responders every Friday through the summer, offering water and other drinks, snacks, and, most of all, a place to kick back and get out of the heat that is normally seen in Cleveland and Bradley County.
The first of these breaks was offered last week. Several different agencies stopped by the business and took a quick break.
The visits by the first responders also give them a chance to speak to the public about the services they provide, and, in some cases, actually recruit potential officers, fire department personnel and ambulance service drivers and care providers.
“We at Young’s Auto Body appreciate the sacrifice and protection you give to our community, and as a small token of our appreciation, through the summer months, we will have cold water, sports drinks, small snacks, conversation, and appreciation any time between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays,” said Cliff Howard, production manager at Young’s.
“We are proud of our local emergency service men and women and want our community to know we stand with you in your efforts,” he added. “Again we know this is just a small token of appreciation, but we hope to help out in some way.” Upon choosing Young’s Auto Body Inc., you will be greeted by an experienced and knowledgeable receptionist that will help guide you throughout the estimating and repair process and arrange for towing and rental car service.
