Perform all functions to build, wire and test various control panels that are sold by ErieTec Outside Salesmen and designed by the Industrial Control Specialists. This position requires the ability to read, analyze and interpret electrical schematics in order to build and troubleshoot electrical control panels. Working knowledge of NEC standards affecting electrically operated automation/controls equipment will be applied.


Prior panel shop experience
Ability to read, understand and work from wiring schematics
Capable of determining the most practical and efficient layout of the required components for a panel both internal and external
Responsible for mounting of all required components for a panel
Proficient at properly wiring the panel based on electrical drawings
Skilled at accurately marking up electrical and layout drawings during construction to reflect the panel
Proficient at labeling the major components of a panel
Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools
Efficient testing of completed panels to ensure quality production
Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
