The Valley Auto Body team is offering expertise in collision repair to the area.
Valley Auto Body opened last May at 2556 Smithtown Road, between Fairmont and Morgantown on Old Route 73.
Customers can get to the shop by taking Exit 146 — Goshen Road — off Interstate 79 and then traveling less than a mile along Route 73 South.
Allen Parrack, body shop manager, said the business does “anything having to do with body.” The store mainly focuses on automotive collision repair and insurance work, and has a paint booth and frame machine to take care of customers’ needs.
“We’re pretty well equipped for shops around here,” Parrack said.
Valley Auto Body also offers free estimates, and pickup and delivery service is available for any customer.
The shop’s five technicians, all from Marion and Harrison counties, have more than 60 years of combined experience. Parrack has been working in the auto body repair industry for 25 years.
Valley Auto Body is affiliated with Valley General Contracting, which set up the body shop and hired Parrack to run it. The two entities are basically stationed at the same location, with Valley General Contracting’s office across the parking lot from Valley Auto Body.
John Tonkin and Clyde Dodd are the owners of Valley Auto Body.
The body shop has the space to tackle projects that are larger in scope, which gives the business a unique advantage, Parrack said.
“Obviously we have a big backing from Valley General Contracting, and we have the ability to take on bigger jobs,” he said.
