Body shop estimator classes

A one-day (eight-hour) class designed for both appraisers and estimators. Chief’s Joining Technologies course is an overview of the various techniques used by OEMs today. It is necessary that estimators, appraisers and technicians have a good understanding of the actual processes involved during the repair. This course is a combination of hands-on and classroom experiences. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in the following exercises:

Perform steel and aluminum weld (done safely with Chief’s Virtual Welder)
Install and remove self-piercing rivets
Install blind rivets
Perform structural weld bonding
Perform spot welds with and without adhesive

ADA Course (Aluminum Damage Analysis and Repair Technology)

Design Based Repairs
«Design Based Repair» is the efficient, economical, and proper repair of the vehicle which returns it to specifications that are in keeping with the manufacturer’s original design. This 16-hour course concentrates on the use of new materials such as High-Strength Steels, Boron, Aluminum, and Carbon Fiber in today’s vehicle design, and use of correct OEM information and current repair procedures to effect thorough, correct, and safe repairs ensuring the proper operation of the vehicle and its advanced safety systems.
Hands-on Auto Estimator Training
